Men’s Jeans Fits: A Guide to Mustang Cuts

Frequently asked questions

A slim fit hugs your leg along its entire length, and the jeans keep a similar width from the knee down. A tapered fit leaves more room in the thigh and narrows noticeably toward the ankle. In the Mustang collection, Vegas is the typical slim, while Oregon gives you the tapered line.

Frisco Skinny is the closest-fitting, with a skin-tight leg and a low rise. Among the slim cuts, the narrowest is Vegas Slim—that’s how Mustang itself describes it.

The best choice is a cut that’s roomier up top and tapers at the ankle, namely Oregon Slim or Oregon Slim K. If you prefer a straight leg, try Michigan Straight—it has the widest straight leg of the Mustang cuts we carry.

The first number is W, the waist measurement in inches. According to Mustang’s size chart, W32 is 81–83 cm. The second number is L, the inseam length: L32 means 79–83 cm.
